A proper Cornish breakfast set us up for the day and we started out from the Plume of Feathers just after 10:00 am.
Compared with yesterday’s ordeal, today’s stroll to St Mawes was a doddle.
A gentle gradient took us up onto the coast path and we looked back across the bay from an elevation of just 25 metres.
And so it carried on. Apart for one ascent to 60 metres approaching St Anthony’s Head, the whole day has been easy walking.
There’s no village, pub or shop on this section of the walk but we’d anticipated that and brought a picnic lunch.
We got the little ferry across to St Mawes
And here we sit, in the sunshine, on the balcony of the St Mawes Hotel,
listening to Art Themen and four other senior jazzmen jamming live in the car park opposite.
